Simple mobility in the neighbourhood

Instead of parking it in a traffic jam inhabitants of a residential estate in the Heindlstraße in Linz could in future just leave their cars in the garage. They are now being offered a mobility alternative in the form of easily accessible rental bicycles and safe bicycle boxes.

The centrally positioned mobility stations include a Safetydock® installation with five bicycle boxes, two of those contain rental e-bikes. A charging pole for e-cars is also operated via the Safetydock®. For short-term bicycle parking covered bicycle racks are close by. The plan is to vary the rental vehicles over time. Options would include cargo bikes and e-cars for rent. Inhabitants’ preferences will be considered.

Operating the Safetydock® is very easy and works via app and card. The Mobility Point in Heindlstraße was set up by CycleCompetence member Innovametall in cooperation with the WAG WohnungsanlagengmbH. Operation and Service are taken on by the Elmocon Service und BetriebsgmbH.
