Cycle Competence Austria has become one of the most important knowledge sharing platforms in the cycling community. The coronavirus pandemic has shown us all the advantages of online education: no travel and wider participation. Therefor our successful webinar day in April is continued with a monthly webinar in June, September, October and November.
The webinars are held in german. If you are interested, you are invited by our experts to join their online lectures and interactive knowledge-sharing sessions. Thanks to the support of Klimaaktiv Mobil, participation in these sessions is free.

10:00 – Cycle infrastructure without gaps: Network planning in cities, built-up areas and communities
11:00 – Financing cycling: overview of national cycle funding
In the first webinar slot, Cycle Competence members con.sens mobilitätsdesign (Vienna), verkehrplus (Graz) and komobile (Gmunden) will share their experience of the central issue of cycle network planning and will enable important insight into the basic principles of cycle infrastructure that make cycling safer and more attractive to the general public.
After a 15-minute break, our Cycle Competence members komobile Gmunden, komobile w7 and Herry Consult will explain the diverse funding possibilities offered to regions, towns, municipalities, the tourism sector and businesses. Funding-related themes from work bicycles and bicycle rental to bicycle infrastructure will be illuminated by klimaaktiv mobil.
These three Cycle Competence members each advise their own specific target group. Komobile Gmunden oversees the advisory programme ‘Innovative, climate-friendly mobility for regions, towns and communities’, komobile w7 the advisory programme ‘Mobility management for tourism and recreation’ and Herry Consult the advisory programme ‘Mobility management for businesses, contractors and fleet services’.
